SharePoint 2010 is the next version of SharePoint 2007,
SharePoint 2010 introduces a list of new features like Access Services, Visio
Services, Business Connectivity Services. It also provides enhancements to a
lot of existing features like Excel Services, Record Management etc
There is a basic Hardware requirement change between SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2007 can run on a 32-bit machine, but SharePoint 2010 requires a 64-machine and an Operating System which supports 64-bit processing, even the SQL Server needs to support 64-bit, So if you are moving from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010, you should also plan to Change/Upgrade your Hardware and Operating Systems.
