Services (BCS) replaces Business Data Connector (BDC) which was
available in MOSS 2007.
Unlike BDC which can only read data from external sources, BCS can read and update data with external sources. |
BCS - List Integration

Lists can be created by referring
to tables in external data sources, the lists will be auto populated based on
the data from the external tables.

Unlike BDC which supports only
single operations at a time, BCS supports bulk data operations.

BCS can also read BLOD data
from external sources.

Silverlight
|
Silverlight applications can
now be uploaded to Document Libraries.
